Princeton, N.J. - All signs pointed towards a Princeton and Cornell match to determine first place in the Ivy League on Saturday, however, the Big Red lost to Pennsylvania on Friday night. While the battle for sole possession of first place was not on the line, the Tigers faced a very solid Cornell unit. In fact, the Big Red were solidly ahead in the first two games before being defeated by Princeton, which has shown an ability to come from behind in games after starting slowly.
The key statistic in Saturday night's contest is that Princeton registered 11 service aces, while Cornell could only muster five in the match.
The Tigers were lead by Sabrina King (Sr., Laguna Beach, Calif.), who had 13 kills. Also, freshman Kellie Cramm (Laguna Beach, Calif.) recorded 12 digs.
The Tigers host Rider on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to complete their home schedule at Dillon Gym.
