Matson And Meerschwam Honored By NFHCA

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior co-captains Hilary Matson (Marathon, N.Y.) and Melanie Meerschwam (Amstelveen, Netherlands) have been selected to participate in the 2000 NFHCA Division I North/South All-Star game.
Matson currently leads the team in with 12 goals, 13 assists and 37 points this season. She has amassed career totals of 38 goals, 36 assists and 112 points in her four years and has been honored with numerous awards during her tenure. Matson stands in third-place all-time at Princeton in career points and most recently slipped into second place in career assists.
Meerschwam has a team third-best 22 points on the year with six goals and 10 assists. She is currently ranked fifth all-time in career points with 82 on 32 goals and 18 assists.
The Tigers are 12-3 overall and recently clinched the Ivy League title for the seventh-consecutive year. The team has one more game remaining in their regular season schedule, against Pennsylvania on Friday, Nov. 3rd at 7 p.m.
Following the Penn game, the team will await their official invitation to the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 7th at 8 p.m. The first and second rounds of the tournament will be held on November 11-12 at campus sites, which will also be announced on Tuesday during the selection show.
For the first time ever, the selection show for field hockey will be available on the internet through Yahoo! Broadcast with the use of Real Media Player. The show will begin promptly at 8 p.m. (Tuesday, Nov. 7) and will last approximately 20 minutes.
