Philadelphia, Pa. - Before heading to California for a four-game road swing, the Princeton women's water polo team had to take care of one item of business--the Pennsylvania Quakers. In the final game of CWPA League competition at Villanova, the Tigers defeated Penn 16-3. It was the second victory for Princeton over the Quakers in as many days after a 13-0 win on Saturday.
Head coach Luis Nicolao was able to use much of his bench on Sunday, as back-up goalies Jenny Hildebrand (Mountain View, Calif.) and Lisa Rockefeller (Lexington, Mass.) saw action in the field, combining for five goals. Freshman Lindy Martin (Chicago, Ill.) tallied three goals for the Tigers, while Saroj Siegler (Fr., Miami, Fla.) and Joanne Armstrong (Fr., Danville, Calif.) each scored twice.
The Tigers are now 9-0 on the year, 4-0 in CWPA play. Princeton will be in action this week on a California road trip that begins at UCal-Davis on March 15, at 4 p.m.
