BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Princeton women's water polo team had its 16-game winning streak snapped with a 17-7 loss to No. 1 Stanford in the second round of the 2000 Collegiate National Championships at Indiana.

Adele McCarthy-Beauvais (Fr., Haydenville, Mass.) led the Tigers in scoring with three goals, while Katherine Kixmiller (Jr., Menlo Park, Calif.) scored twice. Alina Brown (Jr., University Place, Wash.) and Jenny Edwards (Fr., Houston, Texas) each scored one time for Princeton.

Senior captain Goga Vukmirovic (Sarajevo, Bosnia) played the entire game in the cage, tallying seven saves.

The Tiger are now 25-4 overall, and face UMass as a probable opponent on Saturday, May 6, at 2:45 p.m.
