Sept. 9, 2000
Jamaica, N.Y. - King and fellow senior co-captain, Emily Brown, each tallied eight kills in Princeton's first round match against St. Francis, N.Y. The Tigers jumped out and won the first two games rather easily as they won by scores of 15-2 and 15-6 respectively. After coasting early in the contest, Princeton won a hard-fought third game 16-14 to notch its inaugural match in the 2000 campaign. Sylwia Parzych led St. Francis, N.Y. with 11 kills.
Princeton's next opponent, Manhattan, did not treat the Tigers as well as their previous opponent. The Jaspers won the match in four games as Shana Bannert and Amy O'Dorisio each posted 13 kills and 15 digs. Sabrina King led Princeton with 9 kills, and Ana Yoerg had 15 digs. The loss dropped the Tigers to a record of 1-1 on the season.
Princeton will face St. Johns at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in Alumni Hall.
