PRINCETON, N.J. - The Tigers placed third at the annual Harvard-Yale-Princeton track and field meet, with 32 points and three individual champions. Harvard won the meet with 71 points, ahead of Yale's 55. Princeton received strong performances from event-winners Lauren Simmons, Rebecca Haarlow, and Khalila Thomas. Simmons won the 800 meter run in 2:11.08, edging out a Yale runner by four-tenths of a second. Haarlow won the triple jump with a distance of 39 feet 11.5 inches. Thomas won the shot put by over a foot with a throw of 43 feet 4.5 inches.
Other top three finishers for Princeton included Betsy Kennedey (3rd, shot put), Natalie Deffenbaugh (3rd, 400 meters), and Catherine Casey (3rd, 3000 meters).
The Tigers will host the Princeton Invitational on Saturday Feb.17th and 10 a.m.
