PRINCETON, N.J. - Gretchen Anderson, Abbey Fox and Andrea Kilbourne combined on two of the three Tigers goals in the 3-1 win over Maine on Saturday afternoon at Baker Rink. The Princeton women's hockey needs to win two of the remaining three games in the regular season to make the ECAC playoffs.
Senior Abbey Fox scored her seventh goal of the season at 8:15 in the first period, assisted by Andrea Kilbourne and Gretchen Anderson. In her first game back after missing six games due to illness, Anderson scored the game-winning goal, her second game winner and 12th goal of the year, on a feed from Fox and Kilbourne at 8:23 of the third period. Jessica Fedderly added an insurance goal on a power play at 11:30 of the third period assisted by Lisa Rasmussen and Jen Neil. The Black Bears only goal of the game was a power-play goal at 16:04 by Karen Droog.
"We are really just focusing on the last two games," says head coach Jeff Kampersal. "We want a win against UNH for what they did to us up there earlier in the season and Cornell is a team we just have to beat to go to the playoffs."
