SALEM, W.V. - The women's water polo team picked up four wins this weekend while at a CWPA League Weekend, held at Salem International University. This streak of wins follows a disappointing appearance at the USCB Tournament held Feb. 24-25 in which the Tigers went 1-3 against several very competitive teams.
On the first day of the weekend, Princeton defeated George Washington 12-5. Jenny Edwards and Vanessa Jackson lead the scoring effort, each tallying three goals apiece. Goalie, Lauren Lister registed six saves. Later that afternoon, Princeton defeated Villanova 16-7. Jackson finished the game with 5 goals. Princeton will face Villanova later this month, on March 16.
On the second day of competition, Princeton defeated Salem International 11-5 and Bucknell 10-7.
The Tigers will face Villanova and Hartwick next Friday and Saturday. The team will then travel to Lewisburg, Pa. for another CWPA League Weekend, March 24-25.
