Men's Heavyweight Crew Wins Carnegie Cup

DERBY, Conn. - The Princeton men's heavyweight varsity eight crew won the Carnegie Cup on Saturday defeating Yale and Cornell. The Tigers beat the Bulldogs by three seconds winning the race with a time of 5:24.2 to Yale's 5:27.3. Cornell was a close third with a time of 5:28.8.
The Novice Eight and 2nd Novice Eight also won its races. The first novice eight crew defeated Yale (5:47.3) by just over three seconds, crossing the finish line at 5:43.6. Cornell was third (5:48.5).
The 2nd novice eight won by a margin of over nine seconds, defeating Cornell with a time of 5:53.8.
Princeton's 2nd varsity eight (5:48.2) finished second to Cornell (5:42.1).
The heavyweights host Brown on May 5th.
