PRINCETON, N.J. – After winning the Rowe Cup at Eastern Sprints, the No. 4 Princeton University heavyweight rowing team will aim to continue its hot postseason form at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship Regatta from May 29-31 at Lake Natoma, in Gold River, California.
Princeton enters the IRA National Championships after winning four gold medals (2V, 3V, 4V, 5V) and two silvers (1V, 4+) at Eastern Sprints in addition to the Rowe Cup for highest team point total. The 1V is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation, the 2V No. 2 and the 3V No. 2.

Princeton at the IRA National Championships
The Tigers have won the Ten Eyck team points trophy twice, with victories occurring in 1985 and 1998. The 1V, 2V and 4+ have each won gold medals on three occasions, while the 3V have won seven golds.
Last Year at the IRA National Championship
The Tigers finished fourth at the 2025 IRA National Championships, which took place at the Cooper River in Camden, New Jersey. The 1V and 3V both advanced to Grand Finals, with the 1V finishing fourth the 3V fifth. The 2V earned a first-place finish in the Petite Final.
