PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton men's track and field team is in 11th place with six points after five events on the second day of competition at the ECAC/IC4A outdoor championships. The women's team has yet to place.
Junior Javius Wynn placed third in the decathlon totaling 6,761 points. Freshman Susan Coltman is in second place with 3,090 points after four events. The final three heptathlon events will begin on Saturday 10:00 a.m.
Laura Shackelton and Kristi Rosso finished ninth and 10th, respectively, in the 3,000 meters. Shackelton crossed with a time of 11:08.12, Rosso finished just over a second later with a time of 11:09.21. Emily Eynon placed 15th in the 10,000 meters (37:37.91).
Mike Baird finished 28th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:41.63) and Wes Stockard was 29th in the 5,000 meters (14:44.65).
Day three of the competition will resume on Saturday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m. with the remaining heptathlon events. The meet wraps up on Sunday, May 20 with the last event scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
