Princeton Men's track and Field Competes at West Point

West Point, N.Y. - Jeff DiChiara, Dan McKenzie and Josh Ordway went one, two and three in the men's 5,000m as the Tigers competed in this weekend's William Gillis Open held in West Point, N.Y. In the second meet of the indoor season, Princeton athletes captured first place in six other events.
Cameron Atkinson captured first place in the 55m dash when he crossed the finish line in 6.1 seconds. In the field events, Paul Lyons and Rocky Craley went one and two in the shotput with distances of 15.89m and 15.97m while Josh McCaughey, competing in the weight throw, captured first with a distance of 18.82m.
Senior captain Ryan Smith finished first in the mile with a time of 2:25.5. Two Princeton relay teams finished one and two in the 4X800 with times of 7:52.9 and 8:00.3. Alexis Tingin captured the 500m title in 1:05.8.
In the men's mile Matt Herbert, Wes Stockard, Matt Tanner, Austin Smith and Ari Benjamin provide the Tigers with several strong finishes, placing second-sixth.
