Tiger Volleyball Wraps-up 2002 Season

Abby Studer recorded a game-high 19 kills in her final game for Princeton as the Tigers dropped their last match of the season, 3-1 to the Penn Quakers. With the loss, Princeton finishes at 17-6, 10-4 Ivy on the season. Penn, the 2002 Ivy League Champions finish the regular season at 22-4, 13-1 Ivy.
In one of the most exciting matches of the year, Princeton fell behind Quakers, losing the first two games 30-22,30-23. The Tigers rallied in the third game to win 30-21. The fourth match went back and fourth with the lead being exchanged numerous times. Studer's final point evened the fourth game at 29-29 but the Quakers tallied off two quick points to win the game 31-29 and match.
Kellie Cramm had 16 kills and 18 digs. Lauren Grumet scored 14 kills and recorded 20 digs. Kerry Song had a game-high 21 digs. Jenny Senske, who had 999 assists on the season entering tonight's match, tallied 52 to finish with a total of 1051 this year. Senior co-captain Michelle Buffum recorded six kills in the match. Also playing in her final game for the Tigers was McCoy Klink.
Penn's Elisabeth Kwak-Hefferan had 19 kills and 16 digs in the win. Stacey Carter had 15 kills on 36 attempts.
