Heather Jackson was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week today, following her performances over the weekend in consecutive shutouts over Wayne State and Findlay.
Jackson scored her first collegiate goal in the third period of Princeton 2-0 win over Findlay on Sunday. Minutes earlier, Jackson recorded her first collegiate point, assisting on Becky Stewart's game-winning goal.
Jackson, a freshman from Exeter, N.H., has played in both of Princeton games this season and is currently tied for third on the team in points.
Teammates April Brown and Megan Van Beusekom were named to the ECAC Honor Roll. Brown posted two goals and two assists in Princeton's 5-0 shutout of Wayne State, while Van Beusekom sticked aside 19 shots in the shutout of Findlay.
The Tigers (2-0-0) open up the ECAC regular season Friday night at 7:00 p.m., when they host Colgate.
