Kilbourne Has First Olympic Point

Andrea Kilbourne, who is taking this year off from Princeton to play with the United States national team in the Salt Lake City Olympics, had her first point of the Games with an assist in 12-1 win over China Thursday.
Kilbourne's team, a heavy favorite to the win the gold medal, eased into the medal round with its second straight lopsided win. The U.S. team opened with a 10-0 victory over Germany.
The four teams who have advanced to the semfinals are set, with the United States and Finland from one group and Sweden and Canada from the other. Those teams complete the opening round-robin portion of their schedules against each other Saturday. The winner of the U.S.-Finland game will play the loser of the Sweden-Canada game in the semifinals, and the loser of the U.S.-Finland game will play the winner of the Sweden-Canada game in the other.
The U.S. and Canada are expected to play for the gold medal.
