Women's Golf Team Finishes Seventh At Hawaii Invitational

Kaneahe, Hawaii - On a day where a 319 was the seventh-best team round, Princeton's women's golf team finished seventh at the Hawaii Invitational with just that score and a final team score of 963. The Tigers finished with rounds of 330, 314 and 319 at the Olomana Golf Links in Kaneahe, Hawaii to officially commence the spring season a day before the first official day of spring.
Freshman Avery Kiser shot Princeton's low round of the day with a two-over par 74 and finished 13th overall with three-round score of 232. Fellow freshmen Meg Nakamura and Taryn Haladay each registered final rounds of 83 and finished 34th and 39th respectively. Nakamura shot a 54-hole score of 243, Haladay finished with a 245.
Sophomore Esty Dwek put together her best round of the tournament with a 79 on the final day and tied junior Vanessa Redman for 47th overall with a two-day score of 250. Redman finished with rounds of 86-78-86.
Junior Megan Milam, sophomore Sarah Kapnick and freshman Lydia Irwin competed as individuals on the 6,326-yard course. Milam shot a 249, Kapnick scored a 264 and Irwin finished with a three-round score of 281.
Oklahoma State won its second consecutive Hawaii Invitational with a final team score of 908. OSU's Emma Zackrisson took medalist honors with a three-round six-over par score of 222.
Princeton makes its way back to the East Coast and will compete at the William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va. on Saturday-Sunday, March 30-31.
