Tigers Take Fourth at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - Sophomore Jon Nuger (Longmeadow, Mass.) shot a second-round 66 for the Princeton second team at the Princeton Invitational Saturday at Springdale Golf Club, but the day belonged to Penn State, which won the tournament with a two-round total of 569.
Penn State's Josh Dawes shot a second-round 63 to claim the individual championship. Nuger led all Tigers with a 141 mark for a seventh-place tie.
Senior James Milam (Idaho Falls, Idaho) led the Princeton first team with a second-round 70 and two-day total of 143. Sophomore Greg Johnson (Kansas City, MO) finished with a 147 (second-round 75), junior Cassidy Traub (Long Beach, Calif.) shot 149 (74), junior Nat Hoopes (Marion, Mass.) shot 152 (74), and freshman Creighton Page (Louisville, KY) rounded out the squad with a 153 (79).
Behind Nuger's top performance on the second team, freshman David Huestis (Columbus, Ohio) shot 151 (74), senior Eben Harrell (London, England) added a 156 (74), sophomore Chris Connolly (New Haven, Conn.) also shot 156 (71), and junior Brian O'Toole (Belle Mead, N.J.) shot 164 (80) for the weekend on the par-71 course.
Penn State finished with a 1-over 569 to claim the team title. William and Mary finished in second, ten shots back with a 579. St. John's took third with a 584, and Princeton finished tied with James Madison for fourth at 587.
