Tigers Honored on the Collegiate Water Polo Association's Eastern Team

Princeton, N.J. - Cassie Nichols and Adele McCarthy-Beauvais have been named first-team All Eastern by the Collegiate Water Polo Association. Teammate, Jenny Edwards was named second-team All-Eastern by the CWPA. The Tigers recently competed in the Eastern Championships and finished fourth in the tournament.
Nichols, the senior captain, was also recently named the MVP of the southern division. At the Eastern Championships this past weekend, Nichols scored eight goals in four games including a three goal performance in the 11-5 Tiger victory over Bucknell. This is the third time in her career that Nichols has been honored on the All-Eastern Team.
McCarthy-Beauvais scored nine goals this past weekend, including four against Indiana in the third-place match. McCarthy-Beauvais was named the MVP of the Eastern tournament a year ago; this is the third time in her career that she has been named first-team All-Eastern.
Edwards scored three goals against Bucknell and had a total of seven on the weekend. It is the second time in her career that she has been named to an All-Eastern team.
