Princeton Takes Third At Navy Spring Invitational

Annapolis, Md. - Princeton's men's golf team shot one stroke better on Sunday then on Saturday and moved up one spot in the final standings to finish third at the 2002 Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, Md. The Tigers finished with round of to 313 and 312 and ended the tournament 20 strokes back of No. 22 Minnesota.
Creighton Page led the Tigers with round of 76 and 78 to finish with a 154 and a tie for seventh overall. Greg Johnson shot a 36-hole score of 155 and placed in a tie for 12th. Minnesota earned the top spot with two of its players tying for medalist honors. Simon Nash and David Morgan scored a 150 to share the individual title.
Princeton's Nat Hoopes shot a two-round score of 158 while both James Milam and David Huestis finished with scores of 159. Jon Nuger competed as an individual and completed the USNA Golf Course with a two-day score of 163.
The Tigers will play host to the Princeton Invitational next Friday-Saturday, April 12-13 at Springdale Golf Course.
