Van Beusekom Named ECAC Goaltender of the Week

Centerville, Mass. - Megan Van Beusekom was recently named the ECAC Goaltender of the week. Van Beusekom recorded 16 of her 47 saves in the third and made several crucial saves in the closing minutes to keep the Friars off the board, as the Tigers upset Providence 4-3.
Van Beusekom currently ranks first in the ECAC in save percentage with .928 and ranks second in the league in goals against average (.2.12). Van Beusekom has recorded a 6-3-1 record this season.
The Tigers defeated Friars, who at the time were ranked sixth in the country, on a goal by Tarah Clark in the third period. Clark was named the weekly ECAC Honor Roll along with teammate Gretchen Anderson who tallied two goals and three assists on the weekend.
