Princeton, N.J. - After weekend splits the last two weekends, the Princeton women's hockey team (4-3-0; 1-1-0 ECAC) will look to string together wins when it visits Yale (3-3-2; 1-1-0 ECAC) and hosts Boston College (3-7-0; 0-5-0 Hockey East) this weekend.
Princeton opened the ECAC portion of its schedule last weekend with a weekend split at Dartmouth and Vermont. Princeton dropped the opener Friday to Dartmouth 4-2 after a late rally fell short and on Saturday, Princeton outscored the Catamounts 5-1
The Princeton scoring was balanced as 10 Tigers tallied points last weekend. Seniors Gretchen Anderson and Lisa Rasmussen led the way with three points apiece. Senior Susan Hobson had the game-winner on Saturday at Vermont. It was her second goal of the season. She also tallied an assist in the game and was one of four Tigers to record more than one point in the win. Sophomore Roxanne Gaudiel made 16 saves on Saturday to earn her second win of the season. She is now 2-0-0 and is still unbeaten in six career starts. Freshman Laura Watt scored Princeton's fourth goal at Vermont. It was the first goal of her collegiate career. Freshman Liz Keady earned her first assist and third point on the goal.
The Tigers play twice this weekend. First, on Friday night they visit Yale, their travel partner, before returning home for 1 p.m. face off on Sunday afternoon against Boston College.
Princeton is 44-3-1 all-time against Yale, including a 20-2-0 record at Ingalls Rink. Last year, the two teams split on home ice, before Princeton swept the Bulldogs in the ECAC playoffs. The Tigers have also fared well against Boston College and are unbeaten in 16 meetings at 14-0-2. Princeton is 7-0-2 at Baker Rink and won last year's meeting on the road.
