Tigers Compete At Princeton Invitational

Lawrenceville, N.J. - The Princeton men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Princeton Invitational on Saturday afternoon with several club teams and Universities running a non-scoring meet in Lawrenceville, N.J.
The Tigers won 11 individual events overall, six on the men's side and five on the women's side. Juniors Josh McCaughey and Rocky Craley won the throws with McCaughey tossing the 35-lb. weight 62-10.75 and Craley putting the shot 56-0. Freshman Kyle Whitaker registered a height of 15-.25 to win the pole vault. Sophomore Derek Davis won the long jump (22-2.25) to give Princeton four field wins.
On the track, the Tiger men were led by Dwayne Banton, who won the 55-meter dash in 6.59, and Adam Ludwig, who won the 3,000-meter run in 8:37.2.
The Princeton women earned field wins in the long jump (Lauren Washychyn), triple jump (Molly Jones) and pole vault (Chelo Canino). Chanel Lattimer took the 200-meter dash in 25.84 and Liz Morse won the 400-meter run in 57.42.
Both the men and women are idle next week and resume indoor competition at the Heptagonal Championships in Hanover, N.H. on March 1-2.
