Princeton junior Gretchen Anderson was added to the roster of the 2003 U.S. Women's National Team which will compete at the 2003 IIHF Women's World Championships in Beijing this spring.
Anderson will make her international debut in the tournament, playing alongside teammate Andrea Kilbourne, who was named to the squad earlier this month.
Anderson was also named the ECAC Player of the Week today in recognition of her four-point performance this past weekend at Harvard and Brown. This marks the second time this season that Anderson has earned this honor.
On Friday night, Anderson scored Princeton's lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Harvard, the nation's top-ranked team. Saturday, she posted a goal and two assists to lead the Tigers to a 5-2 win at Brown, and helped Princeton to a three-point lead in the race for home ice in the first round of the playoffs.
Princeton completes the regular season this weekend at home when the Tigers host Dartmouth and Vermont at Baker Rink
