Andrea Kilbourne Named to 2003 U.S. Women's National Team

Princeton senior Andrea Kilbourne was named to the 2003 United States Women's National Team. The team will compete at the International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship, to be held April 3-9 in Beijing, China.
Tha announcement came one day after Kilbourne was named as a candidate for the Patty Kazmaier Award, which recognizes the accomplishments of the most outstanding player in women's collegiate varsity ice hockey each season.
The 2003 U.S. Women's National Team was selected following the 2003 United States Women's National Team Training Camp, which was held Dec. 26, 2002-Jan. 2, 2003 in Lake Placid, N.Y. The camp featured 46 participants, divided into two squads which took part in daily practices and games. Princeton defenseman Angela Gooldy also attended the camp.
Kilbourne is one of 11 members of the 2002 U.S. Women's Olympic Team, which earned the silver medal in Salt Lake City, that were named to the squad.
Team USA holds a 27-7-1 all-time record at the IIHF Women's World Championship, having earned silver medals in each of the seven tournaments since the event's inception in 1990.
