Women's Hockey Routs Cornell 6-0 For 13th Win

ITHACA, N.Y. - Andrea Kilbourne and Gretchen Anderson each scored a pair of goals to lead the No. 8 Princeton women's hockey team to a 6-0 win at Cornell Saturday afternoon. Nikola Holmes and Lisa Rasmussen each tallied scores, while Megan Van Beusekom made 17 saves for the Tigers, who improved to 13-6-2 with the win.
Holmes opened the scoring just seconds after the game started. Twenty-six seconds into play, she took a pass from Anderson to record the Tigers' first goal. Kilbourne, who also recorded an assist on the first score, moved the lead to 2-0 with a goal at the 2:33 mark. Kilbourne recorded the lone goal of the second period, and Anderson chipped in with the first two goals of the third period to improve the lead to 5-0. By the time Rasmussen scored with 1:13 remaining in the contest, the lone drama left centered around Van Beusekom's attempt at a shutout. The senior netminder took care of business, recording four saves in the final period to keep the Big Red off the scoreboard.
