March 26, 2003
The Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Clubs named their reserve boat crews for the traditional curtain-raiser to the Boat Race during the past week. The Isis v. Goldie race will start at 4 p.m., half an hour before The Boat Race itself, and the Isis boat will feature a pair of Princeton graduates.
In the seventh seat for the Isis, which is the Oxford reserve boat, will be Bill Fedyna (Maple Glen, Pa.). Fedyna, a member of the Princeton Class of 2000. He was a member of the 2000 world championship USA lightweight men's eight crew, as well as the 1998 national championship Princeton lightweight crew. He was also a two-time All-Ivy rower.
The coxswain for the Isis is Megan Patrick (Beaver Falls, Pa.). Patrick, a member of the Princeton Class of 2001, coxed Princeton's men's heavyweight eight for four years and won three Eastern sprints championships (1998, 1999, 2001). The team took the silver medal in 2000. Princeton also finished as the silver medallist at the IRA national championships in 2000 and 2001. Patrick also competed in the Ladies' Plate at Henley in 2001
