LEWISBURG, Pa. - The women's water polo team lost its chance for a Southern Championship when it fell to Indiana, 7-4, on Saturday. The Tigers defeated Penn State- Behrend and Gannon on Day 1 before the Indiana loss.
Princeton shot just 4 for 30 against Indiana and failed to connect on any of its six man-up opportunities.
"We just couldn't find the back of the goal," head coach Luis Nicolao said. "We were in the entire game but couldn't finish it off."
Jenny Edwards scored all four games for the Tigers, while Madeline McCarthy made six saves in goal.
Princeton plays in the third place game against George Washington on Sunday at 2 p.m.
