Water Polo Finishes Third At Southerns

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The women's water polo team defeated George Washington University, 9-2, for a third place finish in the CWPA Eastern Championships. The Tigers defeated Penn State-Behrend and Gannon but dropped a match to Indiana before the consolation game against GW.
After a scoreless first inning, Madeline McCarthy assisted on a goal apiece for senior co-captains Jenny Edwards and Adele McCarthy-Beauvais. The Tigers led 2-1 after two and then scored seven second-half goals. Edwards scored one in the third and three in the fourth to finish with five total. McCarthy made 12 saves in goal.
