Princeton Outdoor Track Teams Take Nine More Events At Sam Howell Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton men's outdoor track team ran away with the Saturday portion of the Sam Howell track events, while Hasina Outtz led a strong performance for the women, as Princeton put forth a solid showing in the track events at Saturday's portion of the Sam Howell Invitational. Field events will be available Sunday afternoon.
The story of the afternoon was the Princeton men, who dominated the track and took home individual victories in the 100 (Dwaine Banton, 10.88), 200 (Patrick Schottel, 21.93), 400 (John Karakoulakis, 49.28), 800 (Alexis Tingan, 1:53.86) and the 1500 (Peter Cioni, 3:35.64). Furthermore, both the 400-meter relay team (42.51) and the 1600-meter relay team (3:17.24) earned wins.
Outtz was the lone individual winner for the women, taking the 100-meter hurdles in 14.75. The 400-meter relay team also earned victory, topping Rider by less than one second (49.47 - 50.46).
