Freshman Heavyweight Varsity Continues Dominant Season At Sprints

The freshman heavyweight boat has been getting the job done all season, and it once again proved its mettle Sunday at the Eastern Sprints, winning the grand final by more than six seconds over Harvard. It was Princeton's lone win of the day, although the second varsity boat did take second place.
The top varsity boat failed to qualify for the grand final and ended up placing fourth in the petite final with a time of 6:32.31. Harvard ended up winning the grand final and the Ivy League championship.
The freshman boat won in a time of 6:14.11, topping Harvard's time of 6:20.32. Princeton and Harvard dueled again in the finals of the second varsity race, although the Crimson came away with a four-second win in that one. Harvard finished in 6:22.4, while Princeton raced second in 6:26.5.
The men's second freshman eight came in third in 6:45.83, while the third varsity eight placed fourth in 6:39.48.
