Crew Represents University Well At Numerous International Competitions

Numerous members of the Princeton University crew teams, both past and present, have represented or will represent Old Nassau at some of the sport's premier events this summer. While all return with additional experience that comes with competing at the highest levels, some also brought back a bit of gold.
Leading the international charge is John Cranston, a member of the 2003 crew. Cranston was a member of the victorious U.S. men's 8+ at the Pan-American games. Prior to winning his gold medal, he raced in the men's 2- and placed fourth. Rob Milam also represented Princeton at the Pan-American games, competing for the men's lightweight 4-.
Jamie Faris, who will be a senior next year, won a gold medal in the men's 8+ at the Under-23 World Championships for Canada
Tom Hershmiller '01 and Adreanna Morin '04 will compete at the Canadian World Championships. Both have already tasted victory this season, as Hershmiller's 4- won both the Royal Henley and the Lucern Worldcup, and Morin's 8+ also won at the Royal Henley. Eight members will represent the U.S. World Championship team this summer. They are: Leanne Bennion-Nelson '95, Simon Carcagno '98, Bill Fedyna '00, Jason Flickinger '01, Mark Flickinger '99, Danaka Harris '95, Paul Teti '01 and John Wachter '04.
Eight Princetonians won gold medals at the Canadian Henley. Tyson White '04, a Princeton captain next season, and Aaron Kroeker '05 won the Senior B men's pair. Kalle Crafton '03, Sean McCormick '01, Steve Coppola '06 and Alex Hearne 06 were members of the Vesper 8+ that won both the Senior A 8+ and the Championship 8+. Caroline Lind' 06 was a member of the Vesper 8+ that won the Women's Championship 8+. Jeremy Turk was a member of the Vesper Ltwt. 8+ that won the Under 23 men's lightweight 8+.
