Princeton freshman goalie Allison Nemeth has been named the Ivy League Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after helping the Tigers to a 5-1 win at Dartmouth this past Saturday.
Nemeth played all 70 minutes against the Big Green, recording three saves, as the Tigers improved to 4-1 overall and a perfect 2-0 in Ivy League play. The freshman goalie has played in all five games this season, starting three, and has allowed just three goals in 214 minutes of action. She has an 0.98 goals-against average and an .824 save percentage in five games this year.
The Tigers, ranked No. 10 in the STX/NFHCA poll for the third straight week, face their sternest test of the young season Friday, traveling to third-ranked Maryland for a 6 p.m. game. The Terps have outscored their opponents 52-4 on the way to a 9-0 record so far this season. Princeton will then host Ivy League rival Columbia on Sunday at Class of 1952 Stadium.
