Men's Golf Sixth After First Two Rounds of the McLaughlin

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Princeton men's golf team ranks sixth of the 13 teams competing at The McLaughlin after the first two rounds of the tournament were played earlier today at the Red Course at Beth Page. With one round remaining tomorrow morning, Princeton is 14 shots behind leader Maryland.
The Tigers shot a collective 287 in Round 1 and a 284 in Round 2 to be at 571 through two rounds. Behind leader Maryland, Temple, Rutgers, Boston College and Towson round out the remainder of the top five.
Individually, Princeton is currently led by John Sawin, who ranks tied for 10th overall at par. He was the only Tiger to shoot below par, reaching a two-under 68 in his second round. Brent Herlihy and Creighton Page are tied for 20th at 143. Greg Johnson is one stroke behind his two teammates at ranks tied for 24th. The final Princeton golfer is Jesse Dixon who is tied for 55th.
The tournament wraps up with the final round being played tomorrow morning.
