The Princeton women's volleyball team will look to stay atop the Ivy League standings Friday night when it takes on a tough Cornell squad in Ithaca, N.Y. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
Princeton and Harvard both have one Ivy League loss, while Cornell is right behind them with two. A win for the Big Red would put it right back into the league race, while a win for the Tigers would give them consecutive victories over the Crimson and the Big Red. Princeton used a thrilling 3-2 road win over Cornell to push it into a championship match in the season finale, which it would ultimately lose at Penn.
Princeton, which knocked off the Penn Quakers already this season, is led by Ivy League Player of the Week Alex Brown, who is among the league leaders in kills and attack percentage. Lauren Grumet leads the team in kills, while Jenny McReynolds is 10th in the nation in digs.
Princeton will face Columbia on the road at 4 p.m. on Saturday. A sweep would give Glenn Nelson 499 career wins and allow him to go for his 500th win at Dillon Gym against Yale next Friday night.
