Princeton, N.J. - Three Princeton women's hockey games will be among the 21 games featured in the USCHO.com Women's Game of the Week internet broadcast package. Princeton's home games against Harvard, Yale and St. Lawrence will be part of the broadcast package.
The first Princeton game in the package will be on Nov. 13 when 2004 NCAA finalist Harvard visits Baker Rink. Last season the two teams split their meetings with each team winning on home ice.
A week and a half later, the Tigers will meet Yale for a Wednesday night broadcast. Last season the two teams traded wins on road ice. The final game will be on Feb. 5 when 2004 Frozen Four participant St. Lawrence visits Princeton.
The inaugural broadcast schedule includes 21 regular-season games spread across the four Division I conferences. The schedule features appearances by all 10 schools in the 2004-05 USCHO/CSTV preseason poll. The postseason broadcast schedule will be unveiled at a later date.
In addition, USCHO.com is proud to offer a special connection to the sport's history as a number of former college stars will return to provide color commentary for the Game of the Week. Confirmed guest analysts include former Patty Kazmaier Award winners and Olympic gold medalists Angela Ruggiero (Harvard '04) and A.J. Mleczko (Harvard '99), as well as three-time Hockey East/ECAC East All-Star Kristen Thomas (New Hampshire '04). Additional alumnae from other schools will be announced shortly.
Brian Schulz will handle the play-by-play. Schulz called men's and women's hockey games for Harvard from 1999-2001, and also broadcast the 2001 and 2004 World Women's Hockey Championships.
