PRINCETON - Princeton split a pair of games on Sunday in women's water polo, falling in the morning to Michigan 10-4, and coming back to beat George Washington 13-3 in the nightcap. Freshman Danielle Carlson scored at least one goal in each quarter of the win. The Wolverines led 3-0 after one quarter, but Princeton cut it to 5-3 at halftime. Michigan outscored Princeton 5-1 in the second half to take control.
The nightcap was a different story, as Princeton started slowly and managed only a 3-3 tie at halftime. The third quarter would prove to be a different story, as the Tigers came out hungry and built a 9-3 lead. Five different players scored, including two goals by Carlson. The defense played well, earning steals and cutting off passing lanes.
