Princeton, N.J. - The Princeton women's hockey team looks to extend its current four-game winning streak this weekend when it hosts Vermont and Dartmouth at Baker Rink. Both games will be important as the Tigers look to solidfy home ice in the first round of the playoffs.

It's Gameday... The Princeton women's hockey team continues its homestand this weekend with games against Vermont and Dartmouth.
Last Time Out... The Tigers posted a pair of league wins over Cornell and Colgate to help lift them into fourth-place in the ECAC standings. Sophomore Sarah Butsch scored twice in Friday's 4-1 win over Cornell, while sophomore Heather Jackson tallied the shorthanded game-winner in Saturday's 3-1 triumph over Colgate.
Princeton vs. Vermont... Vermont enters the weekend coming off its first ECAC wins since joining the Division I league three seasons ago. The Catamounts are 6-20-2 overall and 2-10 in the ECAC and currently sit eighth in the league standings. Vermont has Division I wins over Union (2), Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart and Boston College.
The Series with the Catamounts... Princeton is a pefect 6-0 all-time against Vermont. The teams first met in 1980 in Princeton's first season of women's varsity hockey. The two teams reestablished their rivalry when Vermont elevated its progam to Division I three years ago and Princeton has won all five meetings since, allowing just three goals in those five games. Princeton won 5-1 earlier this season in Burlington. Princeton vs. Dartmouth... Dartmouth has been at-or near the top of the ECAC standings all season, but fell to third in the standings after being swept by St. Lawrence last weekend. The Big Green is 17-4-2 overall and 9-2-1 in the league, but three of the four losses have come in its last three games.
The Series with the Big Green... The Tigers are 31-20-3 all-time against Dartmouth and are 16-6-3 at home. Dartmouth has posted wins in three of the last four meetings with Princeton, including a 4-2 win in Hanover this fall and a 4-2 win in the 2003 ECAC semifinals. Princeton posted a 3-2 win in last year's meeting at home.
A Look at the Standings... Princeton currently stands in fourth-place in the league standings, where the Tigers currently hold down the final home-ice playoff berth. Princeton is four points out of first, two out of second and one out of third.
