STATE COLLEGE, PA - The Princeton women's tennis began a weekend of matches at Penn State's Indoor Tennis Center with a 7-0 loss to Marshall University Saturday afternoon.
Rankin Williams took her match at No. 5 singles to a third set with Marshall's Joelle Good, taking the second set 6-3, but Good rebounded to win the match 6-0 in the third set. Marshall features the No. 62-ranked player in the nation in Jessica Johnson and the No. 14-ranked doubles team in the country in Johnson and Ashley Kroh.
Princeton won a tough doubles match at the No. 3 position. Stephanie Berg and Laura Trimble defeated Danielle Hock and Robin Skalsky 9-7.
