Pearce Earns Third ECAC Rookie of the Week Award

Princeton, N.J. - Princeton freshman forward Kim Pearce was named the ECAC Women's Hockey Rookie of the Week for the third time this season following her strong performance last weekend against Vermont and Dartmouth.
On Friday night, the Ottawa native scored twice in the third period to break a 1-1 tie and lift Princeton to a 3-1 victory over Vermont. Saturday night she added a pair of helpers, assisting on Gretchen Anderson's power-play goal and Liz Keady's third-period goal.
The four-point weekend lifted her season point total to 20 points on 10 goals and 10 assists. In ECAC play, she has seven goals and six assists for 13 points, which ranks her second, one point behind Yale's Kristin Savard for the league lead in scoring among freshman.
Three other Tigers, senior Gretchen Anderson, freshman Liz Keady, and senior Megan Van Beusekom, were named to the ECAC Honor Roll for their play over the weekend. Anderson tallied four points, two goals and two assists, in the win over Dartmouth and now has 26 goals, 16 assists and 42 points on the year.
Keady posted three points, a goal and two assists, on Friday and added a goal on Saturday and now has 14 points on the season, and Van Beusekom earned both wins in goal, including a 29 save performance against Dartmouth.
