Women's Water Polo Wins First Game At Bucknell Invitational

Lewisburg, Pa. - Freshman Elyse Colgan scored five goals as Princeton women's water polo defeated Bucknell 11-5 in the first game of the Bucknell Invitational.
The Tigers outscored the Bisons 4-1 in the second quarter to make up for a slow start, trailing 2-1 after the first. Elyse Colgan scored two goals in the second while Kathryn Parolin and Megan Zitren each had one.
In the third, Colgan scored two more and Jazmin Brown added one for a 8-5 Princeton lead. Colgan, Brown and Kelly Melia-Teevan each scored in the final quarter while shutting out the Bisons. Brown finished with three assists and Megan Donahue and Brown assisted on two apiece.
Lauren Lister and Madeline McCarthy split time in goal, and Brown won three of her four sprints. The Tigers went 2 for 4 of their 6-on-5's.
