Princeton, N.J. - Senior Gretchen Anderson was one of several members of the Princeton women's hockey team to receive postseason honors from the ECAC. Anderson was named First-Team All-ECAC, Senior Angela Gooldy was named second-team All-ECAC, Freshman Kim Pearce was named to the all-rookie team and eight Tigers were named the All-Academic squad.
Anderson becomes only the fourth Tiger to ever be named First-Team All-ECAC. Sue Reece '95 was the first and in the previous two seasons, Aviva Grumet-Morris '02 and Annamarie Holmes '03 achieved the honor. Gooldy's selection to the second team marks the first ECAC postseason honor for her.
Pearce became the fifth Tiger to ever be named to the All-ECAC Rookie Team and the first since junior Katharine Maglione in 2002.
In addition to those honors, eight Tigers were named all-academic. They were Anderson, sophomore Sarah Butsch, junior April Brown, sophomore Tarah Clark, Maglione, sophomore Chrissie Norwich, senior Lisa Rasmussen and junior Becky Stewart. For Brown, Maglione and Rasmussen, it was their second time on the All-Academic team and the first time for the other five members.
