Eight Players Score in Water Polo's 13-1 Win Over Queens

Princeton, N.J. - Karina Reyner had four steals and was one of eight Tigers to score in a 13-1 win over Queens at DeNunzio Pool. Danielle Carlson scored a team-high three goals while Reyner, Kelly Melia-Teevan and Jessica Ajoux each added two for Princeton, which held Queens scoreless until the final :02.
The Tigers led 4-0 after the first quarter with goals from Melia-Teevan, Anne-Lise Maag, Samantha Shaughnessy and Carlson. Madeline McCarthy had one save in goal before Lauren Lister replaced her for the second and third quarters, when she made two saves. Melia-Teevan and Reyner each added another goal in the second for a 6-0 halftime lead. Carlson scored both of her goals in the third period, and the Tigers got one apiece from Reyner, Ajoux and Kathryn Parolin. In the fourth, Ajoux and J.J. Ryu scored for a 13-0 Princeton lead. Shannon DeVore made two saves in goal for the final period. Queens scored on a man-up with :02 remaining.
Ryu had a team-high four assists while Carlson had three steals. Shaughnessy and Jazmin Brown each won one sprint for Princeton, which went 3 for 6 on its 6-on-5's.
The Tigers host the Inter-Regional Competition this weekend at DeNunzio Pool.
