Men's Tennis Plays Well But Falls to No. 20 Harvard, 5-2

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard took the doubles point thanks to wins at Nos. 1 and 3 and won four of six singles matches on the way to a 5-2 victory over Princeton in an Ivy League tennis match Friday afternoon.
Princeton falls to 9-9 on the spring season, 2-2 in Ivy League play.
The 20th-ranked Crimson were pushed by Princeton in the doubles, as the Tigers' No. 2 team of Tim Kofol and Sratha Saengsuwarn earned an 8-4 win. Andrew Lieu and Hans Plukas played well at No. 3 doubles, but fell 8-5 to Chris Chiou and Gideon Valkin.
Princeton would also get a win in singles at No. 3 from Saengsuwarn, who walloped Jack Li by scores of 6-4 and 6-2 to earn his second win of the day. No. 6 Hans Plukas also earned a win for Princeton after the match was clinched, winning a 7-4 tiebreak after splitting two sets than ended in tiebreaks with Harvard's Martin Wetzel. The Tigers face Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H., at noon on Saturday.
