Princeton, N.J. - Freshman Elyse Colgan has been named an honorable mention All-American as announced by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) today. The rookie from Annapolis, Md. was Princeton's leading scorer with 70 goals, and added 18 assists and 25 steals to guide the Tigers to a 24-9 overall record and Southern Championship title.
Colgan was the Southern Tournament MVP, a first-team All-Southern selection and a first-team all-tournament selection at the Eastern Championships, where she scored nine goals including four in Princeton's 12-4 win over Villanova.
Colgan was also named to the All-ECAC second team after scoring six goals in three games to lead the Tigers to a third-place finish. She had a game-high four goals against Olympic defense in Princeton's exhibition game against Team USA.
