Harris Advances To High Jump Final at USA Track & Field Olympic Team Trials

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Former Princeton high jump standout Tora Harris '02 -- who holds the Ivy League Heptagonal record with a 7-7 clearance at that meet during his senior season of 2002 -- began his Olympic quest Thursday by advancing to the finals with an easy clearance of 7-4 1/4.
Only three of the 10 competitors who cleared the bar at that height did so without a miss -- Harris, Jamie Nieto and Henry Patterson. The top 14 preliminary competitors advanced to Sunday's final, which takes place at 3:10 p.m. Pacific Time (6:10 p.m. Eastern).
