Tom Herschmiller, a 2001 Princeton grad, rowed to a silver medal as part of the Canadian men's fours team Saturday in Athens. Herschmiller's Canadian Four led the boat from Great Britain heading into the final 500 meters, but the Brits crossed the line less than a tenth-of-a-second ahead of Canada in the end. Herschmiller had also rowed for the Canadian eight in Sydney, finishing seventh overall. Princeton's Lianne Nelson will row in the women's eights final Sunday. Fellow Princetonians rowing for medals Sunday will be Danika Harris-Holbrook (quadruple sculls) and Chris Ahrens (men's eights). (www.ivyleaguesports.com contributed to this report)
