Princeton, N.J. - Five players with ties to the Princeton women's hockey program were named to the 2004 USA Hockey Women's National Festival, and one was named to the Canadian equivalent. Current Tigers, junior Heather Jackson and sophomore Liz Keady, will join Tiger alums, Andrea Kilbourne, Megan Van Beusekom and Gretchen Anderson, for the week of practices and games in Lake Placid, N.Y. Sophomore Laura Watt will attend Hockey Canada's weeklong selection camp. Participants in the Festival are divided into three teams (Teams Red and White, and an Under-22 Team) which will participate in daily practices and compete in a round-robin tournament at the Olympic Center from August 15-22. Princeton head coach Jeff Kampersal will serve as the head coach for Team White and will have Keady and Kilbourne on his roster. Last season Kampersal served as an assistant coach at the festival. Anderson and Van Beusekom will both play on Team Red, while Jackson was named to the Under-22 Team, which following the Festival, will participate in the fifth-ever three-game series versus Canada from August 25-28. In addition to Princeton's American contingent, Watt was invited to Hockey Canada's weeklong evaluation camp to tryout for the Canadian U-22 select team. Team USA will host Canada for two games on August 25 and 26 at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid. The final game will be held on August 28 at the Gutterson Fieldhouse at the University of Vermont.
