BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Led by top 15 performances from Austin Smith and Frank McCreery, the Princeton men's cross country team finished seventh out of 36 teams at the 31st Annual Paul Short Run at Lehigh's Goodman Campus Saturday morning.
Smith was Princeton's top runner for the second straight race, finishing seventh overall Saturday with a time of 24:14.29. McCreery was close behind in 13th place, finishing the course in 24:26.31.
Liberty's Josh McDougal won the individual title, finishing in 23:43.53 to outdistance Villanova's Rob Curtis. Georgetown won the team title with 103 points, just five better than second-place Villanova.
Princeton's top six runners all finished in the top 60 runners in the prestigious event. Paul Rosa was 27th overall in 24:50.57, while Frank Tinney finished 45th in 25:05.85. Rob Grote and Dave Nightengale were 59th and 60th respectively for Princeton.
