Box Score
PRINCETON - The Juniata women's volleyball team hit .352 and never relinquished the early momentum in a 3-0 victory over Princeton at Dillon Gym. The loss completes a winless home-opening weekend, but the Tigers will have their chances at home soon enough, as Dartmouth and Harvard will be in town next weekend.
The Eagles improved their hitting in each of their three wins, which came by 30-26, 30-23 and 30-16 scores. Conversely, Princeton watched its hitting drop from .256 in the opener to .107 in the final game.
The Tigers seemed motivated early on and jumped out to a lead, but Juniata battled back and took the lead late in the game. The Eagles would hold on to that game and control the rest of the match. Four Juniata players had at least 10 kills, including team leader Stephanie Kines (12).
Princeton freshman Parker Henritze led all players with 16 kills, but no other Tigers had more than six kills. Jenny Senske had 33 assists while Jenny McReynolds had 12 digs.
Princeton will look to get back on the winning track next Friday night when it hosts Dartmouth at 7 p.m.
