ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell women's volleyball team went 3-0 against Princeton last season, including a 3-0 win over the Tigers in the Ivy League playoff last season. The Big Red continued its mastery of Princeton with a 3-0 win over the Tigers Friday night in Ithaca.
Cornell stayed perfect in Ivy League play with a 30-17, 30-24, 30-26 victory over Princeton in Newman Arena. The Big Red, which defeated co-defending league champion Yale last weekend, improved to 4-0 in league play with the win. Princeton fell to 2-2, but can earn a winning record again Saturday when it competes at Columbia.
Both freshman middle hitter Lindsay Ensign and senior outside Lauren Grumet both led Princeton with 10 kills, while freshman outside Parker Henritze recorded nine kills and 12 digs. Junior libero Jenny McReynolds had a match-high 19 digs, while senior setter Jenny Senske paced the offense with 40 assists.
